Mission Design Document

Mission Design Document

Create a Mission Design Document (MDD) for a 1st person shooter mission. The player’s goal is to overcome these challenges as they ‘reach the top’ to complete their objective. A hostile presence should also be included. This mission takes place halfway through the game, so the player will be well acquainted with the game’s mechanics.

Mission Synopsis : Echoes of Thunder

 

 

The storm rages as you stand at the edge of a fortified chemical weapons facility, hidden on the shores of a dark lake. Inside, Dr. Anton Miranov, a brilliant but dangerous scientist, is developing a weaponized arsenal to crush any resistance. Each floor of this facility holds secrets, layered in steel and guarded with force.

 

Our intel confirms that this facility has become the nerve center for Dr. Miranov's operation, where he perfects the formula for a lethal chemical designed to target dissenters. By morning, military forces will arrive to escort Miranov out and transport the chemical weapons to undisclosed locations. This is your only window of opportunity—now or never.

 

Your entry point is the cliff overlooking the facility. Make your way down, infiltrate the building, and dismantle the operation from the inside. Neutralize the stockpiles, secure any critical data, plant explosives, and eliminate Dr. Miranov before he can disappear.

 

Miranov is resting in his quarters on the 4th floor, confident that no one will reach him. The facility is heavily fortified, and he believes the storm and his guards will keep him safe. Prove him wrong.

 

Get in. Shut it down. Leave nothing behind but echoes of thunder.

 

Mission Objectives:

 

  • Infiltrate the Building: Identify an entry point and breach the building’s perimeter.

  • Neutralize Chemical Stockpiles (Floor 2): Use the Office key to activate the neutralization system in the lab.

  • Steal Project Data (Floor 3): Secure and erase data in the server room by planting explosives.

  • Plant Explosives on Blue Servers (Floor 3): Plant explosives on three critical server racks, so they can be detonated during your exit to ensure no chance of data retrieval.

  • Eliminate Dr. Anton Miranov (Floor 4): Confront Dr. Miranov in his top-floor quarters and eliminate him.

  • Escape The Facility via Helicopter (Floor 5): After completing your objectives, reach the rooftop extraction point. During your extraction, the explosives detonate, destroying the facility as you fly away into the storm.
